Cancellation

    I moved this site from WordPress to Wix, and need to cancel any autorenew or other payments I have made. But I can’t log in to WordPress anymore – I guess it deletes everything when it’s migrated? Seems very weird. How do I get help with this?

    Hi there:

    I think there’s some confusion here. There are three different “WordPress” at play here:

    1. The free, open-source WordPress software which can power your website.
    2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
    3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

    I took a look, and it doesn’t look like there’s any history of purchases, transactions, or billing activity under the account you’re currently logged into, so we’re limited to what we can help with and advise here.

    If you can let us know what your site URL is, we might be able to point you in the right direction to get help. But, if you cancelled the hosting with the company that hosted your WordPress site before you moved to Wix, then your content is likely gone permanently as most hosting providers delete your site content when you cancel.
