Cancellation
-
PLEASE CAN A HUMAN BEING FROM WORDPRESS ANSWER ME.
I am utterly disappointed that you have taken out money for a subscription for a website that has not been used for months. You sent my multiple emails telling me if the domain and site is not updated then I will lose it, this was sent to me months ago, since then I have lost access to my email linked to the account on WordPress so I have been unable to log in and cancel the service. You already know that the account has been inactive for months so why would you proceed to take my money.
I do not want anything to do with WordPress, I have now managed to get into my account to cancel everything I had set up and I opted for a refund when I cancelled the website for £36 and £15 for cancelling the domain name, however I have only received confirmation of the £15 refund for the domain.
I trust that you will ensure I receive the £36 refund for the website subscription immediately before I take this further.
Further to this full refund, please ensure my data is removed from everything and I will require proof of this too.

Our plans are set to automatically renew every year unless you set them to not renew. We don’t take into account whether or not a site has been active so we rely on customers to make those decisions whether or not to renew a plan.
I’m showing in your billing history that you were refunded £36 for the WordPress.com Personal plan renewal and £15 for the domain registration, so you were already refunded in full for this transaction.
To close your WordPress.com account, you need to go through the account closure process on your own. This is not something we can do for you.
You can follow the steps here:
Note: This not only shuts down your username, it deletes all the sites associated with your WordPress.com account and all their contents. After a few weeks, this data will be entirely purged from WordPress.com’s servers and the process cannot be reversed. Therefore, please be certain you want to cancel your entire WordPress.com presence before proceeding.
I hope that clarifies things.
