  I run two blogs, one is just a blog, the other is a website. I want to drop the blog: http://www.pastorhutch.com and I want to make sure it in no way affects the website. How do I accomplish this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi David,

  First, it looks like you have some active upgrades on pastorhutchdotcom.wordpress.com including the domain pastorhutch.com. In order to delete this blog, we will first need to remove the domain and all upgrades. When a domain is cancelled, it is sent back to the registrar and may be sold to another user or may not become available again. Can you confirm that you no longer want this domain?

  Once I remove the domain, I can provide further instructions on deleting your blog. Please note, it will not affect other sites connected to your WordPress.com account.

  Sounds great! I have removed the domain and all associated upgrades from the blog pastorhutchdotcom.wordpress.com. All of your content is still available there on your default WordPress.com URL. If you want to permanently delete your site, follow the guide below:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/delete-site/

  Please read the warnings and advice before deleting a site, as we can’t revert a site deletion for any reason.

  If you want to hide your site instead, you can use the following guide to make your site private so only you and other members of the site can view it when logged in:

  My primary goal is to discontinue paying for the service, since I now host the blog posts on my other website, also a WordPress site. If freeing up the domain releases me from the subscription and I only then have to pay the fee for the site I am keeping, is that a better option? Or do I need to delete it to stop paying for it?

  You don’t need to delete the blog to stop paying the fee for the upgrades. All upgrades have been removed from your blog meaning you will not be charged further for pastorhutchdotcom.wordpress.com.
