Thanks for your reply. The concern I have is I was deducted this from my Natwest current account : 8-3-2021 POS WORDPRESS £255.00
I have received no payment receipt.I immediately thought it had been deducted from wordpress.com , but there does not appear to be any payment
from my account to you.That is what you also are seeing.Please forward to me any ideas or updates you have to let me know what is in your opinion
the most likely culprit or wordpress business involved here. I appreciate your input.Regards ,

That amount looks like it could be for a WordPress.com business plan.
Are you able to locate a transaction ID of the charge – it should be on the statement of the card charged.

Sorry for the delay in answering. The only transaction ID I can find is this : WordPress vb2z2hj4 . According to my Natwest account statement it was paid for ‘POS’ , as point of sale on the 8th of March ’21.I hope this helps. Unfortunately , I have no other details and can’t so far unearth anything else relating to wordpress or other hosting sites like NameCheap , Hostgator or BlueHost. I’d appreciate anything you can find to tell me who this is.

socialnjh59. Do you have the login credentials for that account. Either way, I can cancel that upgrade for you, but I wanted to confirm because it will remove the business features connected to the site.Let us know, thanks!

I enclose a copy of my information , but I am requesting you to cancel this payment and upgrade.I am not concerned about the business features being removed , as I feel on this occasion

No worries, we just wanted to confirm first. As this could be a security matter, we can’t cancel one account’s service just because another account wants us to. :)
But, you have provided the correct info, so I have now canceled and refunded this.
Depending on your credit card provider, it can take up to 10 days for the credit to appear on your statement.
You can also use that transaction ID to recover access to the account which was charged by following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form
