cancellation of domain mapping
-
Hi, I cancelled domain mapping for two URLs a week or two ago, but it doesn’t look as if WordPress has ‘released’ the URLs as they now direct to a wordpress ‘site doesn’t exist’ page. How do I turn this off? (I want to direct the URLs to a different site)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What are the domain URLs you refer to please?
Exactly which username accounts registered each one? -
re: Canceling upgrades
Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account. You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. https://wordpress.com/purchases You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
If you are not logged in under the correct username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies prior to logging into another account
If you do not have the required access you need to contact the person who registered the account and site under it and have them transfer the sites to your username account by using this process. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

Hi there,
We don’t control domains that are mapped here. Once you cancel the mapping upgrade we have no access to the domain whatsoever, so we’re not holding on to them or preventing you from using them elsewhere – we don’t have that ability.
Did you change the name servers on the domains? If the name servers are still set to WordPress.com, the domains will still try to connect to WordPress.com, as that’s what the name servers are telling them to do. The name servers can only be changed at the registrar where your domains are registered.
If you have changed the name servers, then it’s either your browser cache or your computer’s DNS cache that’s still redirecting you. Clearing out those caches should then let the domain load correctly for you.

thanks for your help, it was a setting at the registrar end that i hadn’t changed, thanks again
