Cancellation of REgistraton

I had registered for a web site with domain name banyan-bags.com. However, i cud not use word press to create a site as am a beginning. I wanted to use wordpress thru bluehost and hence requsted for cancellation of registration and refund. I was chatting with John yday and it has been done as per him. But tdy am going thru bluehost to create a website and it says’It looks like there is already a site at banyan-bags.com. Please select a different location.’ Can you help me pls ???

Hello there, If you gave up ownership of a domain you registered through WordPress.com, it can later be purchased by anyone. It looks like that domain has been recently registered through godaddy.com. If that was not you that registered the domain, there’s nothing that can be done from WordPress.com’s side to recover your domain for you.

I can see the domain mapping upgrade for banyan-bags.com was cancelled and refunded along with your plan.
As @justjennifer mentioned, banyan-bags.com is registered through GoDaddy and currently pointing to a WordPress.org site hosted by Bluehost. It looks like you have already created a site there, so Bluehost are the best people to contact if you are unable to reset the password for your account or login.
If you are still seeing your WordPress.com site when visiting the domain, please try clearing your browser cache. Browsers can cache old DNS but doing this will help flush that information out.
