Hi, i need help to cancel lehemvehema.com.
I requested a cancellation and refund, and the only mail i got is a “verify your email”. I didn’t get an email for cancellation, so it says that my cancellation is pending. I’m worried i won’t get my refund on time (i created it 2 hours ago). Please help me cancel and get my refund.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

since the side effects of canceling a custom domain name, I think there is a confirmation step in the cancel since you can completely loose your custom domain name when you cancel it – the staff seems to take no chances that you don’t fully understand what can happen to a custom domain name

1) the thing is that i’ve been told to expect a confirmation mail, but i didn’t get it. Instead, i got a “please verify you email” mail with no indication for cancellation.
2) Assuming the domain name won’t be taken by someone else, will i be able to order it again in the future?

So that we are on the same page, once you decide to cancel your domain, there is no guarantee that you will be able to reacquire it in the future. Someone else could gain access to it.
If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site, using the Domain Administration tool under Store > Domains, at the bottom of the page.

Yes, you will still have an account with WordPress.com and if you are can connect a self-hosted WordPress blog to your WordPress.com account through JetPack. However, support for a self-hosted WordPress blog is provided here:

Again just to clarify, if you want to cancel your domain lehemvehema.com it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and it may not choose to do so. We can’t guarantee that your domain will ever be available to you again once canceled. If you have any intention of using lehemvehema.com again in the future, I suggest that you do not choose to cancel. Are you just wanting to register the domain with a different host?
Please confirm that you understand and want to cancel your domain. Once you have done so, I will cancel it and remove the upgrade from your account.

In fact, i am quite confused. I do want to retain this domain and use another host, and perhaps use wix as a platform to build my site. The question is what is the relation between wordpress as the organization to which i pay the registration fee for my domain and wordpress as a potential host. Can i just pay wordpress for my domain and develop the site with Wix, and use another host?

if you will be hosting your site over at Wix, we’ll be only hosting your domain name and not your site.

Since you registered your domain with WordPress.com and now want it to point to a blog or website hosted with Wix you can do so by updating the nameservers:
