Cancelled business plan upgrade, personal plan I paid for was removed too
-
I purchased the personal plan a few months ago and today I wanted to upgrade to business to use videos, but then realized that upgrading would not remove the wordpress advertising. I cancelled and assumed it would bring me back to my personal plan which I paid for 3 years of but then downgraded me to a free plan. Please either return the personal plan to my account or issue me a refund for the personal plan as well.

Hello! 👋🏼
I purchased the personal plan a few months ago and today I wanted to upgrade to business to use videos, but then realized that upgrading would not remove the wordpress advertising.
WordPress.com ads are removed automatically even with the Personal plan from any site. Were you referring to something else instead?
I cancelled and assumed it would bring me back to my personal plan which I paid for 3 years of but then downgraded me to a free plan. Please either return the personal plan to my account or issue me a refund for the personal plan as well.
With the three-year Personal plan active at the moment of the upgrade to a three-year Premium plan, to which you upgraded today, your pro-rated credits from the Personal plan were included in the upgrade. This means that you did not have two subscriptions simultaneously, but only the Premium plan.
⭐️ With this, your Personal plan was replaced with the Premium plan.
The 3-yr Premium plan costs $198 (VAT excluded), and when you upgraded to the Premium plan, you paid only $104.5 (VAT excluded), which is the difference between the pro-rated credits from your Personal plan and the Premium plan upgrade price.
The pro-rated credits are there to help you avoid unnecessary charges for the new plan upgrade (i.e., for not having to pay the full price for the Premium plan).
You can learn more about the pro-rated credits here:
