Cancelled domain

    I purchased a domain through WordPress, but cancelled it a couple minutes later because I wanted to purchase the domain elsewhere and make sure I can customize the HTML of my theme later on. If I have cancelled the domain, would that mean I cannot purchase that domain again? Would it be possible to purchase it again? Or would I be able to undo the cancellation and just upgrade to the custom design option (if that is the best way to go about it).
