cancelled domain

  I cancelled my domain and got a refund. Now (2 months later) I would like to recover my domain name. is that somehow possible?

  I do not see any upgrades under your @jasminf91 WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/.

  Is it possible you made your purchase under a different login? What is the domain you are needing help with? Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

  Thank you so much for coming back to me so quickly. Yes, I made a purchase with my other email address (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  The domain I would like to use again is jasminsjoyfullife.com

  If you could help me put that would be great.

  Hi Jasmin,

  That domain was removed from our system and deleted at the registry already in September. So we have no more control over that domain, and no way to restore it.

  But the good news is it looks like the domain is not currently registered, which means you should be able to buy it as a new domain at any domain provider.

  Thank you very much for this information. Is it possible to buy the domain again via WordPress or do I need to use a different provider? Would love to stay with WordPress.

  You’re welcome to buy it with us. Go to My Site ->Manage ->Domains ->Add new and search for it there.

  Just note that to have your WordPress.com site appear at the domain will also require a paid plan. If you add the plan first from My Site ->Plans, the domain is included for free for the first year.

  Thank you for explaining where to go in order to sort it out. But when I want to add the domain it doesn’t show the jasminsjoyfullife.com option.

  It only gives me similar options. I don’t know whether I am doing something wrong or whether I have to wait longer for it to be available again?

  I tried it now again and it shows up as I wanted it. How weird that until now it hasn’t come up as an option.
