cancelled domain name

    I cancelled my domain name with WordPress about a month ago because I am not very tech savvy and could not figure out how to build a site that I liked through WordPress (I cancelled the domain before I read about transferring it to a different platform). I would like to use the domain name through a different platform, but it is showing as unavailable. However, when I try to navigate to the domain, the server can’t be found. Is it still parked with WordPress? How do I figure out why it is not available?

    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

    Thanks for getting in touch. If you’ve canceled a domain, please be aware that it may not be immediately available for purchase elsewhere. Don’t worry though, we can help you out.

    Your domain pearlshopsforyou.com is currently in the redemption period until May 2, 2024:

    We can still try to recover the domain but you will need to pay an $80 redemption fee in addition to the regular $13 domain registration cost. If you agree, I can send a payment request and contact our domain registrar once it has been paid.
