Cancelled Domain Upgrade, Need Site Deleted

  I cancelled a domain upgrade and tried to delete the website but the notification barring me is as follows:

  Warning! You cannot delete a blog if the blog has a domain registration upgrade. You must have access to the blog in order to get to the domain manager.

  If you do not want to use your blog any more please make it private. Other users won’t be able to visit the blog but you can still access the Dashboard so you can get to the domain manager.

  I would like to delete the website and let go of the domain name as well. I do not know how to proceed. Please assist me.

  Staff can and will remove the domain mapping for you. Then the blog can be deleted.

  I understand you would like to cancel your custom domain: mikekimnewyork.com, but please note that this is different from other upgrades and is stated during the purchase process.

  Canceling a domain at this time means you completely give up ownership of the domain. There is no guarantee the domain will become available to re-register after cancellation.

  You are welcome to keep your domain with us and update the nameservers to point to another hosting provider by following this guide:

  Change a Domain’s Name Servers

  After 60 days from the date of purchase or registrant contact information change, you may also transfer your domain to another registrar by following this guide:

  Transfer a Domain to Another Registrar

  If you would like to completely cancel your ownership of the domain name, please reply to confirm.
