Cancelled domain worried about information visibilty on the whois

    I recently bought a wordpress plan that included a domain. I registered the domain with my contact information and included privacy protection . I realised that I didn’t actually want to register a domain or want my upgrade so I cancelled my plan and asked for a refund . My domain information is currently still on the whois under the wordpress privacy arrangement but I worry that when my payment refunds that my personal information may momentarily appear on the whois as I will no longer be protected by the privacy protection . Is there anything I can do about this ? Will this happen ?

    Hi there,

    It looks like the domain has been cancelled already, but won’t fully be cancelled for 5 days at the registrar. Just to be on the safe side, I would wait until 8/26 to cancel your plan. I do not believe there would be any issue, but just to be on the safe side…
