Cancelled my site a few years ago but wordpress has just charged me $116

    I originally payed for three years i believe but i cancelled my website about 2 years ago and it has just charged me another $116 for three more years and i would like my money back.

    Hi there,

    Are you speaking of mymonarch.co?

    The premium plan and domain on that site was bought in January 2017, and renewed in December 2017, January 2019, and now again in December 2019. This upgrade has not been cancelled at any point, and is still active. Both the plan and domain now expires on 22 January 2021.

    The original purchase and each subsequent renewal has each been for only one year, and the most recent renewal on 23 December was for $73, not $116. You can see receipts for all these transactions in your account billing history at https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing/

    I don’t see any multi-year purchases or renewals in your account, nor any charge for $116. If this is for another site in a different account, please log in as that account and comment here so we can take a look.

    If you want to cancel the 23 December renewal on mymonarch.co, I can help with this. I can still cancel the plan for a full refund of $48. However, the refund period on domains is only 96 hours, so I won’t be able to refund the $25 cost of the domain any more. Also note that cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. So I’ll need you to very specifically confirm if you want to cancel the domain as well.
