Cancelled subscription, but still charged!

    I cancelled my premium subscription free trial but I was still charged $99.00. I need a refund and cannot get ahold of anyone from customer service.

    Be aware that canceling a domain means you give up ownership of that domain name. The domain name may not be released immediately, and there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to register it again in the future.

    If you’d like to keep the domain and use it somewhere else, you can transfer it instead: Transfer a Domain to Another Registrar http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/transfer-domain-registration/

    Do you intend to keep the domain?

    If the answer is yes, then Staff will assist with that and I tagged this thread for a Staff followup.

    If the answer is no, then proceed as follows.

    WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.

    Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.

    Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades.
