Cancelled trial domain but still registered as being taken.

  I cancelled my trial membership along with the domain name. I was going to purchase the domain elsewhere but when I searched for the domain name I used on the WordPress site, it was registered as taken. How long does it take to fully unregister the domain name from WordPress?
