Cancelled .wordpress.com (free) domain name – wish to give another shot

  I can’t find history in ‘Purchases’ or ‘Management’ and I can’t make a new site with the old domain name (being my username) – though I just went to management and cleared the ‘profile’ domain that still remained despite the page being closed.

The best way to move forward is to register a new address under your account. You can get started by clicking on My Sites > Add New WordPress Site in the upper corner of the screen.
