cancelling a domain subscription

  I do not want to renew my domain and I don’t want to be issued a fee, how can I cancel my domain?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I understand you would like to cancel your custom domain: andreaalbanillustration.com, but please note that this is different from other upgrades and is stated during the purchase process.

  Canceling a domain at this time means you completely give up ownership of the domain. There is no guarantee the domain will become available to re-register after cancellation.

  If you would like to completely cancel your ownership of the domain name, please reply to confirm.

  Hi there!

  Thanks for the confirmation! I have canceled the domain: andreaalbanillustration.com as requested. The domain will now get sent back to the registrar.

  The registrar will decide when to release it back to the open market, which is not guaranteed, but which usually happens within a few weeks.
