Cancelling domain

    I’ve been trying to cancel my domain and get a refund since the 27th. Please help. The site won’t respond and no I am passed my 2 day limit — I would appreciate help and my refund. Thank you.

    You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew.

    WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.

    Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.

    Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades.     Hey there,

    I see that the charges has already been refunded back to you. It can take between 7-10 business days for the refund to reflect on your bank statement.

    Hi Darnell, I’ve just cancelled a domain name within the refund limit, and have received confirmation. But now when I try to register that same domain name elsewhere, it says it’s not available.

    Would you be able to advise? Thanks so much.

    Hi there,

    It can take time (about 1-2 weeks) for a domain registrar to fully cancel and release a newly registered domain. If you want, you can wait for the domain to be fully cancelled so you can try to register it at a different registrar. However, there is no guarantee that you will recover the domain because anyone can register it once it is available.
