  Received email notice of domain renewal coming up – cannot find this domain to cancel

  as
  a new domain name will be ordered.

  Ok, that domain can be canceled at https://wordpress.com/me/purchases but only by the WordPress.com account which owns it, not the one you’re currently logged in as.
