Cancelling domain and thus billing for it

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi
I have cancelled my domain and basically want everything regarding it cancelled from this day henceforth; 19 July 2017. Please can you tell me why when I check the billing information why there will be a fee for September deducted when I have asked for the domain/site etc to be closed and removed today in July? I will be billed for two months that I will not be using or even have a domain? I do not understand how that works. Please can you confirm that no payment in September will be billed.
    Kind regards
    Melanie van Biljon

    Hello,

I’ve tagged your account for staff to follow up, I’m sure you’ll have an answer soon. Be sure to subscribe to this thread so that you know when you receive a reply from staff.

  • Hi there,

I can confirm that your domain is cancelled and no longer on your account.

Where exactly are you seeing that you’re still going to be billed? There are no upgrades on your Purchases page, and no saved cards in your billing page, so we have neither a reason nor the ability to bill you.

    Hi Happiness Engineer (Like that!)

I saw it in the Billings – I took a screenshot as it confused me that it reflected two further billings – one for Aug and one for Sep – after I had cancelled.

I am happy with your answer and am grateful for the cancellation – I will be back with my ducks in a row and a better idea of what site I want when said ducks stop running around in my head.

Thanks and have a great day, evening, week, month, year.
    Mel

  • Can you please upload that screen shot to your site’s media library so I can check?

Also please see if clearing your browser cache makes it go away – it could be the old info is still stuck in your browser, which is why you see it and I don’t. But let’s make sure.
