Cancelling domain from another host and buying again through wordpress

  I cancelled my domain name today from another provider and would like to buy it again through wordpress, but I can’t because it keeps on saying that domain already exists (despite me already cancelling it)

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Really a bad move – it can take upwards of 60 days or more for a domain name to be released by the old registrar – and during this time the registrar might put the domain name up for auction or someone else might buy the domain name and hold it hostage for ransom or map it to a site that is all ads or all porn –

  See if you can get it back

  You can’t transfer an existing domain name into WordPress.COM – but you can map an existing domain name to your blog here
