Cancelling Domain mapping

  • Unknown's avatar

I have cancelled my domain mapping from wordpress.com blog to takeahike.ie, but I keep getting the error ‘Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain. ‘

WIll this update after a few hours or do you need to undo domain mapping?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

I am able to see the site just fine now. Looks like the warning message has disappeared. Do you still see the error?

    Let me know!

Sorry, I had my blog in the message above so it may have caused confusion.

I had this blog domain mapped to takeahike.ie

I have now cancelled this domain mapping as I want to use takeahike.ie elsewhere but it is giving me a domain mapping error and looking for a WordPress login.

  • Got it, I can see you’ve cancelled mapping here, and you’ve updated your name servers to point to Cloudflare. But it seems Cloudflare is pointing back to the old WordPress.com site here instead of pointing to your new site.

Can you contact your host or contact them to get this sorted out?

Removed the site from cloud flare but I’m still having issues. Now hosting through godaddy. Any idea?

  • When I query the domain I still see the cloudflare name servers. It’s possible they just haven’t propagated yet, or it’s possible you’ve still got a setting wrong somewhere.

Can you contact GoDaddy for help with this?
