Cancelling Domain name after I transfered everything to another host company
-
I have a client who wanted to move away from wordpress as his company website doesn’t fit with how wordpress works. I had purchased the domain name through wordpress and now that I’m transferring everything over to the new service I can’t cancel the domain name through wordpress. I have already paid to transfer the domain name over to Domainmonster renewing it for a year however wordpress is being confusing, complicated and frustrating (like its does) and I just want to cancel any connection with wordpress that my client has. How do I either delete the account completely or cancel the domain name so his new site can go live and not have wordpress getting in the way?

Howdy,
If you put the domain transfer request through at your new host or domain registrar, it can take some time for it to go through.
I just checked the whois information for the domain and can see that it’s now registered through Domainmonster.com:

Was that what you were trying to do?
Let me know if you have any other questions.
