Cancelling my account

I want to completely delete my WordPress account as I am moving my site over to a Wix.com account and yet I cannot seem to work out how to do it.
The URL that I bought and linked to wordpress (markmathewsmusic.com) is needed for the wix.com account, but when I go to tools (which I keep getting told to do to cancel the account) there is no option to delete the wordpress website. I’m at a total loss as to how to do this.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much, Timethief. I didn’t build the WordPress site and it’s all a bit confusing to me (I’m not a coder or anything) so a moderator/staff member with any tips would be really helpful as I kind of need to be taken through it step by step!
I’ve subscribed though, so hopefully there is a response and I’ll try and get my head around the links you’ve sent.

I do not know how to help with moving to Wix and I do not want this to be a mess so please be patient while waiting for Staff and I will also follow this thread so I have a correct answer next time.

Hi @markmathewsmusic, since the domain is registered here, you’ll have a few options:
– Keep the domain registered with us, but point it to Wix. You won’t be able to delete the site if you do this, but no one else will see it here. You’ll just need name server or DNS information from Wix.
– Transfer the domain to another provider and point it to Wix. This is a bit more involved and can take a while. You will still need name server information from Wix. I’d recommend entering that first, then using these steps to transfer the domain:
