Cancelling my account

    I just registered my account approx 45 days ago and I have now decided to cancel my site until further notice. Is there any way of getting any money refunded since I have paid for the year on my credit card already?

    Hello there,

    Refunds have time limits. WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.

    Note: It takes 10 business days for the refund to be received.

    Canceling upgrades
    You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades

    1. What is the domain URL? Do you want to use the domain URL on another site?
    2. What is the underlying .wordpress.com URL?
    3. Exactly which username account registered the underlying .wordpress.com blog and purchased the upgrade for it?
    4. When was the upgrade purchased?
    5. When did the refund request and upgrade cancellation take place?

    I don’t see any upgrades in your account. For what site did you purchase the upgrades?

    Our refund period is 30 days, as @timethief indicated, but I’m happy to look at the account to see if there’s anything we can still do. I will need the request to come from the username that owns the upgrades, though.
