  Assuming you purchased your domain through WordPress, you can cancel your domain by following steps mentioned on this support page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/cancel-domain/

  Note that there is no guarantee the domain will become available to register somewhere else, and you may not be able to get it back.

  Alternatively, you can keep the domain at WordPress.com, and use it with other hosting providers by changing name servers or by changing A record.
