Cancelling subscription but keeping domain name

  I have recently bought a domain from WordPress along with a hosting plan. Since WordPress’s hosting plan provided very little ability to custom design, I had no choice but to cancel the WordPress subscription. I, however, am still being charged for the domain name and I would like to still own the domain but host it somewhere else. How can I do this?

  Good Morning –

  Once the domain is 60 days old you’ll be able to transfer it by following these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transfer-domain-registration/

  Until then, you can point the domain to your newly hosted site by editing the name servers.
