Cannot access account due to two-factor

  I have two-factor authentication enabled on my blog and cannot log in. I get a WordPress verification code, but the number always generates an ERROR: Invalid verification code when I use it. Google Authenticator works otherwise on Google sites, and the application is time-synced, so it is not an application error but a WordPress error. I haven’t been able to access my site for over a month. I have tried to turn off two-factor on my Google account, but it does not affect the condition for having the code on WP. Resetting my password does not fix the issue.

  Please post only into this thread. When bloggers with similar issues cross post into more than one thread to commiserate their requests for help may fall between the cracks.
