Cannot access admin page

    This has been happening for the last three days or so. I can’t access the admin page and the few times I have been able to, it blocks meaning I can’t edit, save, publish et cetera. The most peculiar thing is this is happening on all search engines. However, I have cleared cache in the hope that this would solve my problem. It hasn’t. Now I have absolutely no idea what to do and seeing as none of the other admins are having problems except me who happens to be the owner. I am thinking about closing down this site since it is causing too much stress.

    Hi sharonsathome,

    That can’t be fun at all to have had this issues for three days and it has you to the point of wanting to close the site. You said other admins are not having this issue, so hopefully they convince you to keep the site going. :)

    Would you mind sharing what you mean that the issue is happening on all the search engines? Did you mean browsers (e.g. Chrome, Safari, Firefox) or are you trying different search engines to get to your admin page?

    As well, how are you trying to access the site? Are you using a tablet/phone or a laptop/desktop?

    If you can share the device that you’re using and the name of the app or browser that would assist me in troubleshooting the issue for you.

    Hi James and thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Yes, I’m having issues on all the browsers. None of them will allow me access to the admin page. I have no problem accessing admin from my phone but it’s impossible to construct posts…well, not impossible but a real headbanger! Anyway, I work from my pc.

    The home page on the website: https://kfforever.com/ opens with no problem. So basically the problem is getting on to the admin page.

    Let’s see if they get back to me and are able to help me out.

    Hi again sharonsathome,

    I can concur with a preference to writing posts on the computer than on the phone. My brain just doesn’t connect phone writing with blog quality. :)

    As you are hosted by WordPress.com, have you tried navigating to that (WordPress.com) and clicking on ‘My Sites’ and then working through that instead of the admin link (kfforver.com/wp-admin). I know some people really prefer the Dashboard layout, but I just go through WordPress.com for all of my sites.

    Does this solve your issue?
