Cannot access blog: blocked by domain notice

  • Unknown's avatar

I let the domain name illustratorsforkids.com expire ON PURPOSE. I cannot get past the black screen demanding I renew, even when the cache is cleared. I cannot access illustratorsforkids.wordpress.com. The site has been down for at least a week.

I’ve never seen anyone make a website inaccessible for a domain name in this way. Are you that determined to get a few bucks?

Just click on the top of the black overlay at the top and it goes away

Try Dashboard >> Store >> Domains >> Set Primary Domain back to illustratorsforkids.wordpress.com –

That should give visitors back the plain screen for illustratorsforkids.wordpress.com – if that does not completely correct it the staff can clear the old domain mapping upgrade – I will flag this for staff attention

Keep in mind that all the bookmarks for illustratorsforkids.com will be broken and traffic will drop badly

The Store >> Domains worked!!!! Thank you! Clicking on the black screen made it go away till the page was refreshed; then the black screen returned.

    Thanks so much!!!
