Cannot access dashboard

  Hello,

  I just registered with wordpress.com, actually only to get an API key for using Akismet on my wp installation.

  However, I cannot access the dashboard or my profile. Whenever I click on any of those links (or my username at the top of the page) I always get the page for creating a blog (“Get another WordPress.com blog in seconds”).

  Firstly, I don’t really need another blog on wp.com. But even if I try to create it, I just get the message “Sorry, that blog is reserved!”.

  What am I doing wrong here?

  If you register just for a key, you get no blog.
  There is also no dashboard or profile to access as all you wanted was the key.

  I don’t understand why if you don’t want a blog you are trying to get one…

  Ah, now I understand. By now, I got the mail containing the key :) I thought I could only get this key from the dashboard…
