Cannot Access Domain
-
Just a few months ago, I had two wordpress sites: annahixon, and ahixonusability. annahixon was a paid-for domain where my portfolio lives, while the other was just a school project. The ‘Switch site’ option no longer exists, and it looks like annahixon.com never existed, though it is still accessible and live at annahixon.com. Any ideas for gaining access to this URL that has seemed to disappear from the back-end?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @ahixonusability,
I am tagging this to have a staff member take a look. Any chance you changed the email/account you use to log into either website?

Hi!
I’d be happy to assist you. After a quick search, it looks like “annahixon.com” is still owned by WordPress.com which is great news! because it means that we can help you gain access again to this domain name.
If you have not already, please follow the account recovery steps here and see if you can’t get back to your account: https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/
Let us know how it goes!
Thanks,

Hi there,
As @gregariousbadger mentioned, annahixon.com is still with WordPress.com, but you cannot see it from the backend of the account that you are logged into because it is under a different WordPress.com account. Do you remember creating or having another WordPress.com login? If so, try to log in and see if you can find the site. Otherwise, your best bet is to fill out the account recovery form that @gregariousbadger provided.
Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your quick responses. Unfortunately, my annahixon.com site existed under the same email that ahixonusability.com exists under (I looked back into some e-mail receipt purchases from WordPress that verified that). I was able to toggle from either sites simultaneously just a couple of months ago. I checked my last WordPress purchase from 9 months ago where I had upgraded to a personal account so that I could purchase annahixon.com as a custom domain. When I logged in to the account a few days ago, annahixon was no longer accessible to edit. At the very least, I had figured I had 2-3 more months of access before renewing the personal plan – so I wonder if there is some sort of bug… More than anything, I just need to gain access to the annahixon.com domain in the future because as of right now, I can’t touch it, and it’s taking up a domain that I need to maintain and update.
Anyways, because I do have access to the account where annahixon.com lived, the account recovery is not a solution. Blah.
Thanks again!

Hi there,
Unfortunately, my annahixon.com site existed under the same email that ahixonusability.com exists under
I see what happened here. The sites are actually under two different WordPress.com accounts connected to two different emails. You created the first WordPress.com account with one email and then later changed that email. Then, you created another WordPress.com account a month later with the old email. I think that is where the confusion is coming in.
I was able to toggle from either sites simultaneously just a couple of months ago.
You were able to because there are several sites under the account you are trying to gain access to. I think you are getting ahixonusability mixed up with another site that has a very similar site name under the account you’re trying to access. Annahixon.com and ahixonusability.com never existed under the same account.
So, account recovery will be very helpful for you in this instance. Especially if you either the other email you used or if you still have the transaction ID for when you purchased annahixon.com. If you do not remember the email to the other account, I’d be happy to contact that email for you in hopes that you receive it.
Hopefully this all makes sense. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

You were totally right. I was getting the ahixonusability url mixed up with an annahixonusability account. I was able to log in and access my annahixon portfolio site! Thanks for the trouble shooting – so much appreciated.
Thanks!
