Cannot access my blog admin area
-
Good Morning! I have a very convoluted problem that I sure hope someone can help me straighten out, please.
To lay a bit of background:
I own a WordPress (.com) blog – Blog SW (a fictious name, of course). Until yesterday, the email address associated with Blog SW was sw—@gmail.com.Last month, I created another WordPress (.com) blog – Blog TE. I intentionally kept the two blogs completely separate; each one having their own email address. Originally, the email address connected to Blog TE was te—@gmail.com
Now, begins the convolution:
Yesterday, I posted a comment to someone else’s blog. When I posted the comment, I linked it to Blog SW. I think I was in hurry; and because of that, inadvertently typed in vn—@gmail.com as my email address when I was filling out the comment window. That truly is one of my email addresses, but it isn’t associated with Blog SW. I’m wondering if that caused all of this commotion (to be explained below)?
When my comment posted, I clicked on the avatar, and noticed that it was the Gravatar to another name that I had previously been using (but no longer use) and which is connected to a blog I created a few years ago, but later abandoned. In fact, I no longer remember the name of the blog nor the email address that I used for it.
I tried for quite a while yesterday to fix the situation through Gravatar; and in the process, I somehow tied Blog SW and Blog TE together. Not wanting that at all, I tried to “untie” them.
Currently, the email address that’s associated with Blog TE is wh—@gmail.com (another one of my email addresses that I basically use as a junk mail box now). Also, currently, I am unable to access the administrative area of Blog SW; it’s as if I don’t own the blog and am simply a reader. This happened sometime between yesterday afternoon and this morning. To explain, at one point during that time frame, I had changed Blog TE’s email address to the address that is supposed to be associated with Blog SW. Realizing my mistake, I then tried to change Blog TE’s email address back to its correct email address, but I received a message saying that email address was already taken. I also went over to Blog SW (when I still had admin access) and noticed that the email address for it was now the email that originally was associated with Blog TE. I tried to change it back to it’s correct email address, but received the same message telling me that email addy was already taken.
I have even tried going back to the original activation email I received from Word Press and trying to reactivate Blog SW. The result is that it takes me to Blog TE.
Here’s what I’d like to have happen (and hopefully, someone will be able to please tell me how to accomplish this):
(1) I want my Gravatar to be associated only with Blog SW. I don’t want it to be associated with Blog TE nor the name / blog that I no longer have (from a few years ago).
(2) I need to be able to have administrative access to Blog SW, and I’d like to be able to restore its original email address (without being connected in anyway to Blog TE).
(3) Regarding Blog TE, I do not want it connected nor associated in any way with Blog SW, and I’d like its email address to be what I originally assigned to it.
I sure hope you will be able to help me sort this out. Please know that I am *not* a computer programmer nor do I know programming vocabulary.
Thank you so much for your time and assistance!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It appears that WordPress automatically added the last sentence. To clarify, I do not need help with the link blog so much as I need help in gaining access to the administrative area of my other blog, SW.

In addition will you please post both username accounts and both actual email addresses here. The software will redact the email addresses ie. HIDE them so only Staff can read them. I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

I can help you with this.
Timethief is correct to state that the software will strip any e-mail addresses out of the public post, but since we are dealing with several e-mail addresses and accounts, it will be easier to deal with this in a private e-mail. Please look for a private e-mail from me and we can work this out there.

Hello, @timethief and @lizthefair.
Thank you both for your replies to my thread (to explain the delay in replying, I’m just now seeing them). And thank you, @timethief for tagging the staff to see the thread. I appreciate that!
@lizthefair – I did check my email for an email from you; in fact, I checked all 4 emails that I’ve referenced in the thread. I didn’t find an email from you, but I did find a donotreply notification that you had replied to this thread (The notification regarding your reply came to (email visible only to moderators and staff)
Strangely, I also found a donotreply notification from @timethief, but it was sent to one of the other emails (sw___gmail.com).
To add to it, when I tried to log back in to this thread, I had to use (email visible only to moderators and staff) as the log-in address.
@timethief, I don’t feel comfortable with publicly posting the names of both blogs: (a) partly because I truly don’t want to connect them together and (b) partly because I’m a bit embarrassed over this mess that I’ve created.
@lizthefair, yes, please – if there is any way that we can privately solve this, I would sure appreciate it.
I’m subbed to this thread and will be checking all 4 emails involved in case you are able to reply.

Hi tapestryexplosion,
if there is any way that we can privately solve this, I would sure appreciate it.
I’m happy to work on this privately, but if you didn’t receive an e-mail from me, that might be difficult. I’ll resend the e-mail.
If that doesn’t work, you could also send your request to (email visible only to moderators and staff), and resolve it that way.
