    Home

    When attempting to access the wp-admin dashboard I am refused even though I am recognised in logon to site.

    Are you using same email Id which you have used while creating the blog as admin.

  • Unknown's avatar

    I believe so… it allows me to log in.

    The author of posts on the site https://studiaphotos.wordpress.com/ is studiaphotos (nickname or display name = “Stuart”).

    Here’s the stuartsmith001 forum profile: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/users/stuartsmith001/

    Here’s the studiaphotos forum profile: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/users/studiaphotos.

    These are two separate accounts, with different account email addresses, and different usernames.

    If you can gain limited access to the site https://studiaphotos.wordpress.com/ while logged in as stuartsmith001, but cannot visit the wp-admin dashboard, then perhaps stuartsmith001 is a user on the site, with limited user privileges. See the User Roles support page.

    I’m sorry, I don’t understand.

    The site has been mine with no other users at all. I was always the one and only admin.

    When I enter the url:-

    https://studiaphotos.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

    I just end up with this message:-

    User stuartsmith001 Cannot Access the Dashboard Requested

    You are logged in as “stuartsmith001” and do not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for “StudiaPhotos”. If you are not “stuartsmith001”, please log out, and log back in with your username. If you are “stuartsmith001” and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.

    THere is no other admin

    I am Stuart Smith

    Hi again,

    @musicdoc1
    is trying to say that in account there are various roles such as admin, editor, author, contributor, follower. User roles determine the access level or permissions of a person authorized (invited by an Administrator) to use a WordPress.com site.
    It seems to me that you are not login with the “StudiaPhotos” admin email ID as @musicdoc1 wrote “StudiaPhotos” email address is different.

    According to you, you are the admin. Have you ever change the role or the email Id of “StudiaPhotos” account.
    Anyway, I tagged this thread with modlook, a staff member will look into it and will clear the confusion.

    @testingchanel,

    Thanks. : )

    @Stuart
    ,

    If you’re logged into the stuartsmith001 account, the one you’ve been logged into to start and submit posts into this thread, then I believe you’d be unable to log into the studiaphotos account on the same browser without first logging out of the first account and clearing the browser cache. Alternatively, you could log into the studiaphotos account on a separate browser, while remaining logged into the stuartsmith001 account.

  • Hi Stuart,

    The stuartsmith001 account you’re using to post here was created in January 2018, and has never owner any sites on WordPress.com.

    To access WP-Admin for your site, https://studiaphotos.wordpress.com/, you need to be logged into the WordPress.com account with the username, studiaphotos. It is a completely different account, so you need to log out of WordPress.com completely, and then log back in typing “studiaphotos” as the username, or use the email address associated with that account, which is not one of the emails you provided in your reply above. For security reasons I cannot tell you the correct email address.

    If you don’t remember the password for the other account, or no longer remember/have access to the correct email address to request a password reset, please follow our account recovery process outlined here:
