Cannot access my old WordPress manager

  I was logged into another WordPress dashboard that I’ve used for my website (meta-social.co) and I have been in the process of rebranding. As such, I changed the domain in that dashboard from meta-social.co to makebetterads.co (my new domain). Now I can no longer access my WordPress manager since it auto redirects to my new domain that just has ‘Parked by GoDaddy’. Please help me access my previous site and WordPress (meta-social.co). When I try to go to ‘http://meta-social.co/wp-admin/’ like I used to so I can log into my WordPress manager I’m auto redirected to the new blank site with my new domain.

  This WordPress blog that I sent this message from doesn’t seem to have my site that I’m looking for… Am I doomed? Did I lose access because it only redirects now?

  Hi there!

  To avoid any confusion, it’s important to distinguish between three different versions of “WordPress”:

  1. The free, open-source WordPress software that powers your website.
  2. WordPress.org, the open-source project where you can obtain the software for free to use on your chosen hosting provider.
  3. WordPress.com, a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software, which is the platform you are currently contacting.

  Since your site is not hosted with us, we’re limited in what we can help with and advise. But I can get you pointed in the right direction to get help.

  Changing your site URL name in your WordPress settings without first changing the domain at your hosting provider will cause the problem you’re seeing now. I recommend reaching out to your host GoDaddy for help with this. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and are the best ones to help you undo this problem. They can also help you update your domain if you still want to change that as well.
