Hi there!
Looking at the website https://danlaemont.wordpress.com/ I can see that is up and running and I can acces it just fine.
Can you what is the matter with the website and if there is any error you receive while trying to acces the website or through the Admin area?
Thanks

HI Stefan:
Thanks for the quick response!!The site one can access(danlaemont.wordpress.com) is my old original site. The site I’m having trouble with is my later site danlaemont.com .
I’m trying to attach a screen shot of the errors my admin page gives me. Not sure if I can attach it to this post?? In case it doesn’t come thru, when I click on my site at https://wordpress.com/settings/general/danlaemont.com, I get an exclamation point with a red circle around it. Clicking on that icon, tells me “This site cannot be accessed. Delete the site”.
A black box appears on the right side of the screen saying “Something went wrong.Visit site Admin”. When I click on that link, it tries to load but does not.
Can you help me further?

Hi Dan,
Looking at the whois data for your domain danlaemont.com (https://whois.icann.org/en/lookup?name=danlaemont.com) i found that the nameservers associated with the domain are :
Name Servers
NS1.BLUEHOST.COM
NS2.BLUEHOST.COMThis means that this domain is hosted outside of WordPress.com and the website is not linker with your danlaemont.wordpress.com account.
It’s registrar it shows also to be bluehost.com.
If you want to point the domain to your WordPress.com account you will need a Domain mapping subscription attached to your account, then to change the nameservers to point to WordPress.com from your Bluehost account.
You should have an account over at bluehost.com to manage your domain settings.
Details on how to do that over here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/Let me know if this solves your problem.
Thanks

Holy Mackerel, Stefan!! Obviously, I’m completely befuddled over this whole scenario. My apologies for my lack of understanding!?
What really baffled me is that both my accounts are shown on the Word Press site and I thought I was simply dealing with them. How Blue Host got involved is past me, I’m ashamed to admit.
If I read your very thorough response correctly, and given my lack of technical ability, my next step is to contact BlueHost support?
I’d very much appreciate any direction you can provide this stupido!

Hi Dan,
If I read your very thorough response correctly, and given my lack of technical ability, my next step is to contact BlueHost support?
If you do not know your BlueHost account then I advice you to contact their support.
Thanks
