Cannot Access Original Account – was it hacked?

I have had a website (free account) for several years. I went to log in and neither my username, password or email associated with the account are recognized, and the login link does not load the page. I no longer has access to any original emails from when I set up the account, and therefore do not have any proof of ownership.
This is a club website in need of updating for upcoming events for children. Can someone please help me? Note, the URL is different from the account under which I logged in to post this message. -

Although you can directly fill the account recovery form so that the staff can check it. https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
If you provide the proof of ownership, your account will be recovered. As you have stated above, you don’t have any but at least you can add the details you remember and try.

Please provide the link to your site and we can tell you what to do, but it’s impossible to accurately advice you without knowing what site you’re speaking of. For example, if you’re speaking of a self-hosted WordPress website, the instructions linked to above will be completely useless to you.

Nycsail.com is the website. I have read the other information and I cannot gain access via that method.

That is because your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, so our instructions don’t apply.
Your site uses the open source WordPress software found on WordPress.org, and we have no control over your login to that site at all. You can find the password reset instructions for that version of WordPress here:

For help with FTP access or accessing the database as per those instructions, please contact your hosting provider, Earthlink.net, for help.

Thank you. After reading through the information you provided, I realize there is something more basic to the issue. The link I would use to log into the admin page does not load. I get Page Nit Found. Is this a bigger issue than my log, perhaps my hosting account with EarthLink is the problem?

If you get a page not found error on the login page I’d say it’s a hosting issue, yes. Please contact Earthlink directly to sort that out.
