Cannot access site

Hi so I am an admin of a website legacyarchivefoundation.org and can provide further verification if needed.
I tried to connect my godaddy domain to hostgator and when I accessed the domain it gave me a defaulted website, but the domain remainedNow neither me nor the owner can seem to login to the website and the last thing we want is for this website is that its gone for good.

In the tutorial I stopped at the subdomain part because I apparently did not have a subdomain to provide.
Im a little new to this which is why I had to rely off the forums but it ended up going south for me. I can specify more questions if needed.

It looks like your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.

You should reach out to your host for help with this issue. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and are the best ones to help you with this issue. If you recently moved hosting providers, that doesn’t automatically transfer your site to their hosting, so you should also inquire about their site migration services.
