This site is not hosted with us on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress software at another hosting provider. This is a bit different to a site hosted on WordPress.com. You can read about these differences here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
So our support may be limited.
What is the site you’re trying to build? Perhaps we can point you in the right direction?

We are on a year of travel and want a blog site where our friends can follow our adventures. I found the directions to set up the blog extremely difficult to follow. We paid for a year of services — I thought it was WordPress but apparently it is not?
Now we cannot even access our site Susan-DicksGreatAdventure.site
This is very frustrating and I intend to cancel and get a refund if this cannot be resolved in the next day or two.

As mentioned by a member of staff @aleone89, this forum deals with sites hosted through WordPress.com.
Your hosting provider may be able to help you with your issues since WordPress.com has no control over sites hosted elsewhere.Hope this clarifies! :)

Richard, I’m not seeing upgrades on your account. Did you buy hosting through another provider, and did you mean to reach out to them?
If you have an upgraded hosting plan here with us, can you share a link to the related site?
