Cannot Access Site(s) From Mobile App (Android)

    Hey there! So, I have two blogs both online hosted by myself (GoDaddy to be more specific). I have been able to access both of them on the desktop version of the app (browser app/website) complete with stats and the works. However, when I use the mobile app, there is nothing. I gives me all the options it should (as far as I can tell) but where it should say my site name it’s blank and when I click on anything it gives me an error about ‘Error Occured When Accessing This Site’ or something along those lines. Then if I click on ‘Switch Sites’ (it’s the only thing I can click on that doesn’t give me an error) it shows nothing but the option to add sites (which I tried and then I get some weird login info that won’t let me login no matter what I try). The whole point of this was so I could post via my phone on-the-go so fixing this issue would greatly appreciated.

    Hi, you are in the wrong forum.
    This forum is only for blogs/sites hosted by WordPress.com

    WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    And you should ask in the WordPress.org forum.

    I am perfectly aware they are different, but neither WordPress.org or .com or whoever can seem to tell me what is wrong with their app (thus far) so I’ll post this on any and every website I can until I find an answer.

    However, I appreciate your reply.

    But you’re wrong: your two sites are hosted by GoDaddy

    The best place to post about an issue with the Android app would be at https://android.forums.wordpress.org/forum/troubleshooting

    When you post on the Android app forum, make sure to mention your site addresses and the username you entered when you tried to do the log in step you mentioned earlier:

    Aside from the app, did you know you can post from the web browser on your phone to a blog hosted on GoDaddy right from https://wordpress.com/ if you have setup and connected the Jetpack plugin on your blogs?

    Thanks for the reply, in response to the last paragraph there, yes I did know that and I have Jetpack installed and that made it possible to access the site(s) via WordPress.com. So then I downloaded the app (assuming everything was all good now that Jetpack was running smooth) and everything with the app seems fine EXCEPT my sites. My account info is there and accurate, I can access Freshly Squeezed blogs and that whole section of the app, it’s just the “My Sites” part of the app that appears to have the issue.

    Hope this makes sense, it’s been a long brain-frying day.

    I don’t have an Android device, so I can’t test directly, but what you said about getting some weird login info that won’t let you log in no matter what you try sounds to me like you might be entering the wrong log in info in the wrong place. There are two sets, one for your blog that you created when you installed it and one for your WordPress.com account (this is the Jetpack connection).

    Here are some more things you can try:

    Completely delete and re-install the app (just in case this helps).

    When you try adding sites again, pay close attention to how the login forms are labeled. Look for anything to tip you off about whether to use your blog login details or the WordPress.com ones and try to get them into the right places.

    If you still need help after that, post at https://android.forums.wordpress.org/forum/troubleshooting because they are the experts for that device and app.

    Thanks designsimply, I appreciate the assistance. Sadly, I have tried all those things and I have even gone as far as making all login info and passwords relating to WordPress exactly the same for this very reason.

    In addition to that, this is the only forum I have had ANY responses on. So to point out to my friend galois up there, that is why I posted this here. It seems to be the only forum I can get any response from, and for that, I thank you two for trying to assist me. Guess I’ll sit and wait to see if the anyone checks out the android forum post.
