    Hi there,

Very sorry for the troubles (I saw your other support request as well.) I just logged into your user records and was able to get the My Sites options all to load, so your site is safe.

But when those pages aren’t loading for you, it could be an issue with your Browser setup, or with your connection to our servers. We’ll need to try out a couple of things to track it down.

As a first step, will you try accessing your Stats page using Chrome or Firefox?

No need to switch permanently, but if the information is loading correctly in one of those browsers the issue may be with your current setup in Safari. Also make sure you’re on the most recent version of Safari.

The latest version of all browsers are available here:

    Good Morning Alex,

How kind of you to respond.

My system does not support Firefox… is the response when I try to switch. I think the issue is my Mac is so ancient, it might be better for me to upgrade to a new one before I start spending on upgrades.

    Grrrrrr – computers!

    Thanks so much,

    K

    Hi K,

Will it let you upgrade to the most recent version of Safari? That would be Safari 8:

    My Mac’s OS X is 10.5.8
    Back in the Dark Ages.

Just reading that I have to download Yosemite before I can get up to speed with Safari 8…. my version at the mo is Safari 5.06.

Alex, I am really a dinosaur. This is so frustrating as I’ve just opened an Etsy shop and wanted to link with my blog….

Should I pursue this line, or go hell for leather and purchase a new Mac!?

Thanks again for your response, most kind.

Well, that is from some time ago. But before we resort to buying a new computer, let’s try out some other options. I tried doing some testing and I think My Sites should still load in Safari 5 — though it might not run perfectly.

Could you try to visit your My Sites page in Safari, then follow these steps?

Take a screenshot of that HTTP Header information, then go to your media library in /wp-admin/ :

Upload the screenshot image there, and let me know. I’ll take a look. :)

Okey doke, this is totally uncharted territory for me.

I get as far as No 3, ‘open the instrument panel’ but cannot see an icon for this on the header that appears.

I’ve tried to do screen capture to show you this; cmd / 3 and guess what? Google maps appears. Very random.

Then I went to Utilities and now have a grab icon at the base of my screen, but that doesn’t want to cooperate either.

Any suggestion Alex? I would like to fix it…

Sorry cmd shift 3, not /

Told you I was square wheels…

Crumbs have now managed to upload some screenshot images, Pic 4 shows what happens when I click on My Sites. The other pics show how far I managed to get before computer said no.

Oooh, you got so close, not square wheels at all! These are honestly developer-level tools, so you’ll probably not need them again after we get it fixed up. ;)

Those instructions don’t 100% match your version of Safari it looks like, so here’s the last bit.

You got the Web Inspector up and running, but your screenshots were on the Elements tab. Click on the “Timelines” tab instead. Then in your regular browser, load up your My Sites page. Switch back to that Timelines tab, and you’ll see a bunch of lines fill up, then sort by Duration.

Take a screen shot that has all the timelines and their duration listed.

I’m on the newer version of Safari, so it will look a tiny bit different, but once you’re on the timelines tab it will be very similar. Here’s a video example of what we’re looking for:
