Cannot access this account anymore

I’m only urged to create a new account, which I started under the name of bodilberghblog.wordpress.com, but there really should be a way of accessing the old one, which I definitely haven’t deleted myself.
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: UnknownThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

Hi,
Which website did you have attached to your old account? Could you please send us your old site URL that you’re trying to recover access to?
-
Hi, thanks a lot for your reply, highly appreciated :)
This is the URL for my last posting.

Hi @seleenerwong ,
You should create a new thread in case you have an issue of your own, so that we can help you properly.
This is the URL for my last posting.
Could you please try logging in with the username of berghb and see if you can reach the site under My Sites on your Dashboard there?

HI, and thanks a lot. I feel so stupid (which I probably also am) but really don’t know where to log in. Also, the fact that I started to create a brand new account with the name bodilberghblog.wordpress.com perhaps only worsened things. If I click on any of my previous posts, this one instantly pops up as “My Site”, etc. Would it be possible to continue working with this one and linking the previous to it?

Hi,
Do you mean that you wish to create a new website and then place a link that points to your old website – in for example your site menu or somewhere else on your homepage? Or you rather mean to transfer the old website to this new account?
You can log-in at the following page, please open it inside an incognito browser window in case you are already logged in with your new account and try logging in there: https://wordpress.com/log-in -

Thank you, both of you, for your invaluable help :) As for the first question: yes, I’d prefer to continue with the old one if possible but would be open to any solutions.
When clicking on the account-recovery link, there is a “Get Started” field in the upper corner. Do I dare to open it? (Btw, it appears that I’ve been a “Member Since: Nov 30, 2012”, i.e. almost exactly 10 years from when I noticed the problem, which is a bit funny. If “funny” is the correct term …)
Or is it better that I’ll log out from the newly created account and try the other alternatives?
Another question: Wanted to look at the website of a colleague of mine but when clicking on it, got the following error message:
“Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.”
Is there anything I can do myself about it? Could it have something to do with the problems with my own site?
