Cannot access website to fix database connection

I run a website and recently updated the PHP. I changed the root password in the process and didn’t realize I needed to change something on the WP end. A few days have passed and now the website is down. I found the help topic, but I have no access to my site from my profile to get to the wp-config thing to fix it.

Since this wouldn’t happen on WordPress.com, I guess that your site is not hosted here. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
