Cannot Access Word Press admin dashboard

    Hi, my website is showing the white screen of death and I am unable to even access my Word Press dashboard to revert any changes that I could do.

    Hi there,

    What is the URL of the site you are referring to?

    I do not see any sites connected to the account you are contacting us from. Is it a WordPress.com hosted site?

    The url is Queen-Lash.com. For some reason this username is not linked to my site. Unsure why.

    That is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with here.

    To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

    With all that said, you’ll need to access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/plugins/ and delete the whole /woocommerce-gateway-paypal-express-checkout/ directory there.

    Once that’s done, I recommend reaching out to WooCommerce support at https://woocommerce.com/contact-us/ about this.

    Hello! I also have the white screen of death on the admin page on my wordpress.com blog. I downloaded the FileZilla FTP, but that is also not working, as it says “Connecting to server localhost: 14147… Protocal error: Auth failed, closing connection. Connection to server closed.” Is there any way I can fix the white screen of death on my admin page to write more posts?

    Hi there @frackingtrashtalk – WordPressdotcom websites do not have FTP access. If you read Staff’s earlier reply you’ll have noted that @eclyde1’s site is not hosted here.

    Try logging out and clearing your browser cache and cookies (which will also log you out of every other site you are logged in to) and then shut down and reopen your browser. Then log back in. Let us know how that goes. If you are still unable to open your dashboard, let us know what browser and OS you are using.

    Also, just FYI, for the future, rather than post into someone else’s forum thread, staff and volunteers can better assist you when you open your own thread at https://wordpress.com/help/contact/
