Cannot access WP control panel via wp-admin

    Hi,
    For the last 2 days, I have not been able to access my site via wp-admin and so have been unable to make any changes. The site is normally updated with information each day (we are a weather business) and we have updated via wp-admin each day for the last 3 years or so.

    We have not changed anything (wouldn’t know how to!) at our end and our hosting support (123-reg in the UK) have not been much help.

    Can someone please help me (in simple computer terms) to regain access to my site via wp-admin? I have tried clicking the lost password link and the password reset e-mail that is sent does not work – I just get a message saying ‘sorry, that token does not appear to be valid’.

    Hi –

    I’m not positive that your site is running on our managed hosting environment at WordPress.com. You might be using the open source WordPress installation. Please share the site in question so we can confirm and get you in the right direction for some help.

    Thanks — meteogib.com uses WordPress.org software and is hosted by 123 Reg. Therefore, the WordPress.org support forums will be the best place to post for help with this issue.

    Sorry we can’t help you more here but the site is not hosted with us, so we can’t see what is happening on the other side :)
