Cannot activate klaviyo plugin due to ‘fatal error’ (parse error for PatchworkCallReroutingvalidate function)

    Hi, when I try to activate the klaviyo plugin on my wordpress site, I get this message:

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘function’ (T_FUNCTION), expecting identifier (T_STRING) or (T_NS_SEPARATOR) in /home4/catgenie/public_html/wp-content/plugins/klaviyo/includes/class-wck-api.php on line 13

    When I edit klaviyo/includes/class-wck-api.php line 13 says:

    use function PatchworkCallReroutingvalidate;

    Not sure where to go from here. Do I need to install a plugin with the function ‘PatchworkCallReroutingvalidate;’? Please help!

  • I don’t see any WordPress.com sites under your account here.

    What is the URL of the site with the problem?

  • The site frontpagemeews.com appears to be a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site hosted on Hostgator.com, and not a site hosted on our WordPress.com service.

    To clarify, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities, but the essential difference is that we don’t have access to all WordPress sites, only the ones hosted on our WordPress.com servers. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ for more info.

    You can find support for your self-hosted WordPress site here: http://wordpress.org/support/

    You may also wish to contact your host’s support team for more assistance.

    Hope that points you in the right direction!
