Cannot activate Twenty Twenty-Four theme

  Hi!

  I have a demo site trying to test Twenty Twenty-Four theme feautures. Unfortunately when trying to activate the theme, the site says:

  “Upgrade your plan to install plugins. Installing plugins is a premium feature. Unlock the ability to install this and 50,000 other plugins by upgrading to the Business plan for €40.00/month”.

  I am not intalling any plugins, just the theme. I have a free plan. Twenty Twenty-Four is not a premium theme.

  Further investigation shows that it is possible to select Twenty Twenty-Four initially when creating a new site. But: when trying to switch to Twenty Twenty-Four when other theme is already activated, it is not possible. I also noticed that the same problem is also with the Twenty Twenty-Three theme but not with the Twenty Twenty-Two theme. Help appreciated!

  I just tested it on my account and it should be ok. Would you mind sharing a screenshot so we can take a look?

  When I select the theme from Appearance ->Themes, the buttons say “Activate this design” and “Demo site”. When I click “Activate this design”, it fails.

  

  But when I use the direct link you provided, the buttons are not the same. See the screenshot below. And now the activation suucceeded! I am bit confused!

  Actually, the links are the same. The only fix needed is refreshing the page https://wordpress.com/theme/twentytwentyfour/somerandomsite.wordpress.com

  My website is https://bases-coc.com/ which is a gaming website related to Clash of Clans Bases. I am trying to install the twenty twenty four theme. But when I activate the it in my website, the design change. When I put the old theme back, the layout become normal. I want to change my theme. What is the solution
