Cannot add a new blog to my account

  I am trying to create a new blog for my account and when I put in the domain name it tells me the name can only be in lower case letters and number. All my letters are lower case and it still won’t accept it.

  Are you trying to use a dash ( – ) in the name? WordPress.COM will not accept dashes.

  No dashes, nothing! just lowercase letters and no spaces.
  Another question: I am creating mini ebooks and was wondering how I can sell them on my blog?

  What browser and browser version are you using? Can you try it with another browser (if you are using IE, can you try Firefox)?

  Selling your own mini ebooks should not be an issue, but we are all volunteers here in the forums so you will have to contact staff directly and get their official word on it. People are allowed to sell their own books and crafts that they create so I’m sure it will not be a problem.

  Great–I will try and change browser.

  About the e-books, the staff did say it was ok–I was just wondering how are people selling them? via paypal? what e-commerce are they using that works with wordpress.com?

  Paypal works okay, but you can’t use anything like an encrypted form or a shopping cart program with WP.com; the code gets stripped out. I’m sure Paypal has an HTML-only button you should be able to use and program with the price.
