Cannot add a user to privacy settings

  Hi,

  My blog is private and I am trying to add a user in privacy settings.

  I found this topic about the same issue https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/adding-a-user-to-a-private-blog?replies=2#post-314350 but it doesn’t help.

  The user I want to add signed up on wordpress.com, not wordpress.org.

  But I cannot add him to my users. It says “Settings saved.” but the user is not added to the list.

  Can anyone help?

  my blog is private. So I thought is was not relevant to add the address.

  How many users do you already have on your blog? Private blogs are limited to, I think, 35 users altogether. Could that be the issue?

  We ALWAYS need the address, since about 40% of the questions here come from people who turn out not to have WordPress.com blogs. We can check easily and save time if we have the URL. Don’t worry, we can’t read your private blog; we can, however, now confirm you’re in the right place and we can start working on solutions.

  Thank you Raincoster.
  I have only 3 users now.

  But I have the solution already: the user I wanted to add did not validate the registration at the time I tried to add him.
  He now did so, thus I was able to add him.

  I am having similar problems with my blog, http://emerf.wordpress.com/
  It is also private and currently has 9 users.
  I have been unsuccessful in sending a follow up to the other 12 who had not yet responded and keep getting the wordpress error message.

  Email them a reminder directly. The email they use to register on WP.com has to be the same as the one you used to invite them.
